My eighteen month adventure in journalism is over, and I can start blogging again with some sort of regularity. Working the equivalent of sixteen hours a day for the past year killed my ability to blog (especially while finishing my thesis on top of all of that during the last semester).
I'd like to think my time at The Daily Reveille was well-spent, and that I've grown as a writer and a person. Maybe I have, maybe I haven't - but I'm a lot more interesting now than I was before I worked there.
So there's that, I guess.
In other news, I'm still working at the Funeral Home (though perhaps Very Big Things may change that) and got a Playstation 3 as a reward for finishing my thesis. It's probably what motivated me to finish it.
I'm probably going to start waiting tables at Champps again during the new year; I've gotten fat, and there's nothing I dislike more than being fat. I'm also working as a copy editor for the quarterly magazine Kobold Quarterly, which is a Very Big Deal to a small subsection of the table-top roleplaying game community.
And I'm now on Twitter. It has yet to make my life truly better - largely because I've only had it for an hour - but the prostitute the Web site sent to my doorstep to give me a blowjob was much appreciated, and with services like that for its loyal patrons I can see this relationship being at least as stable as any other relationship I've ever been in.
