I've been sick as hell since New Year's Eve, with a nasty bout of what may or may not be food poisoning. This involved lots of unpleasantness in the gentleman's room, headaches, frequent naps, a liquid diet and a trip to the hospital. I've gained a greater appreciation for quality soup, though I still can't get over the feeling that it isn't a terribly worthwhile dish to serve to people who aren't sick.
Looking back over this blog, most of the links to my old columns for the newspaper are dead now. The paper switched its online content around, and it lost its archives in the process - though I'm told they're still there, somewhere. So barring a miracle, I'll try to hunt down my old columns and post them as text in the old posts on this blog. This might take several weeks.
Tomorrow I have to attempt to go back to work - we'll see if I can get through the day without passing out or, barring that, if I can even walk. That's been giving me trouble today. Tomorrow night I have to go with Jon Cogburn to give logic lessons to The Daily Reveille's opinion section - I've been graduated for less than three weeks and I'm already forced to go back to the newspaper in some capacity. I'm not sure the section is aware I'll be helping conduct the lecture, so it should be done - I know the writers' foibles a good deal better than Jon does, so I should be able to ground the talk in concrete ways to improve content.
And, aside from that, there's not much going on. I still like Twitter quite a bit.
